Today we have worked really hard. We renamed ourselves and have come up with many ideas of how to raise money. We are a small foundation right now, but Inshallah we will be able to help many people and help increase the amount of research put into different types of diseases.

The Water Lily
Heres a pic. of a waterliliy just so you can, like visualize. The water lily symbolizes purity of heart. I guess its sort of like our mission to help spread giving and joy. Just remember that smiles are contagious and if you do, even something little to spread a grin or even the hint of a smile a sea of joy will spread across our -humanity's and nature's-earth. Maybe the smile that one hungry child gets when they recieve a candy bar, could spread to the striving author getting something published, and that smile to a cancer patient getting good results to their chemotherapy. In the end it'll make the world a more pleasant place to be. Maybe someday, if we work hard enough, people won't have to shed tears alone, to feel thier sadness in the darkness where nobody see's or cares. that in itself is an accomplishment. To spread this joy, this life, its gonna take a smile and a whole lot of heart.

Reasons Why
-On October 8, 2005, a 7.6-magnitude earthquake struck the northern part of Pakistan and Kashmir destroying villages and towns, and leaving several million persons homeless.
-The earthquake is estimated to have killed 80,000 people in Pakistan and left up to three million without food or shelter just before the onset of the harsh Himalayan winter.
On 11 October, in response to a request from Pakistan, NATO launched an operation to assist in the urgent relief effort.

It was almost 4 p.m. and Aisha knew exactly what she was going to do.
Living and working in downtown Chicago, it was part of her daily ritual: whatever money she had earned at work, every weekday, she would use for food.
Not for herself. But for the homeless.
She would prepare sandwiches, put them in two large grocery bags, then walk around the tall buildings in downtown Chicago giving them out to the poor and homeless who otherwise would be scratching the garbage baskets outside fast-food places, collecting bits of food.
Aisha didn't make just any kind of sandwiches though. She was well aware of the needs of the homeless and needy. She knew what was necessary for their diet, what was good and bad for their digestion, and what kind of food she had to make for them.
Eventually homeless people figured out where her apartment was and they would sometimes also come by. Her apartment building's management was not happy about it. But it was Allah's pleasure Aisha was after.
-The target set at the 1996 World Food Summit was to halve the number of undernourished people by 2015 from their number in 1990-92. The number of undernourished people in developing countries was 824 million in 1990-92. In 2000, the number had declined only slightly to 820 million (854 million worldwide).
Hey guys, here are just a few of the many reasons we need to work together and inshallah make a difference. Our reward is knowing we have pleased Allah (swt) And we not only help the less fortunate but also that we have created a sort of love amongst us, the brothers and sisters of humanity.Inshallah our efforts will sprout more efforts and the world would be a better place for every one of its residents.
